Department of International Business MISSION AND GOALS


MISSION:

The mission of the Department of International Business is to educate students with up-to-date knowledge of business management skills in international business so as to prepare them for international business management and for global economic and trade activities.

GOALS:

1. Deliver advanced professional knowledge

Keep with the trends toward globalization and multinational operations, the DIB curricula not only include fundamental courses in business and management, but a variety of professional courses to help students build up a solid foundation for their future careers in international business and related fields. With their outstanding academic achievements and rich practical experiences DIB faculty offers courses in international business management, international financial management, international marketing management, international economic and trade theories.

2. Activate academic research ability

Through guided reading of professional papers, group discussion, reports and writing of the master's thesis, DIB aids students to improve their research skills on professional topics and their skills in undertaking professional project planning.

3. Raise business management professionals     

Through curricular design, classroom activities, business seminars and practical training, DIB helps students in the graduate program improve their coordination and communication skills in the workplace, and their leadership skills to become professional managers.

4. Enlarge international business view

DIB curriculum includes applied English courses, as well as courses comprised of selected readings from English books and journals in related disciplines to improve students' skills in English reading and communication. Students will acquire profound knowledge in interpreting international business information and current international business issues, which will further strengthen.

1. Ensure overall teaching evaluation for our teaching faculty.

2. Subscribe to various professional journals, magazines for students.

3. Invite experts from the industries, government and academic circle to lecture and give talks in seminars.

4. Plan to set up partnerships abroad to enhance the international experiences of our teaching faculty.

5. Plan for and encourage students to participate in international exchange programs.

6. Follow the university incentive policy to encourage the teaching faculty and graduate students to attend international conferences.

7. Invite international scholars and experts to participate in seminars and conferences.
